DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION: EXCENTRIC serves to significant enhancement of pedastrians´safety at zebra crossings. FUNCTION DURING THE DAY-TIME: EXENTRIC makes a visible " portal" from far with a few "Zebra crossing IP6" signs. FUNCTION WITHIN LOWERED VISIBILITY: Excentric set up optics of a special luminary illuminates a pedastrian on a zebra crossing and in its tight closeness, without blinding a driver. So the contrast of a glaring figure on background of darker surface of a road is created. Moreover, visibility of a zebra crossing is enhanced by retro-reflexive foil on the front side of a vertical part of the pole. Also the traffic signs with a retro-reflexive yellow and green edging contribute to safety. Usage of retro-reflexive foil ensures safety of zebra crossings also during a power cut. A driver who approaches the zebra crossing quickly manages to recognize pedastrian´s beavior and can react on a dangerous situation in time. In the same time slowing down speed of a vehicle in front of the zebra crossing is subconsciously reached. |
